For many years I have worked as a software developer for hire. More recently I have been struck with a hankering to create and market my own web applications. After a couple of false starts (which I shall not mention further), I have created a product that I feel is worthy of announcing here.
What is Slotted? Do you ever find yourself in charge of signing people up to do something / bring something / be somewhere / give something / etc.? Then you should try Slotted. It’s designed to make the whole process as painless as possible – for you, but more importantly for the people you are asking to sign up.
I expect to continue contract work for the immediate future. But there’s something else worth mentioning. Slotted is written in Ruby on Rails. Yes, I’m moving toward Rails in my contract work as well. I think I’ll skip the obligatory “why-I-am-moving-to-Rails” post.
If you try Slotted, I would love to hear your feedback. We are iterating fast on features and trying really hard to get usability right. You can always comment here, or contact us from the Slotted site.
